PCC's 40th Anniversary Celebration - 1983 to 2023
We are celebrating Peninsula Community Chapel’s 40th anniversary and we would love for you to join us. Whether you are a current member of the Chapel family, a former attender, or a friend of the Chapel, we hope you can make it to one or more of the following events where we will remember and give thanks for all that God has done over the years. This is really a celebration of God’s power, love, and faithfulness that he has demonstrated as we have sought to live out our mission to make disciples who know his joy and change his world. Sending Well: Forty More Years Global Ministry Conference
Sunday, November 5-19, 2023
Our 40th Anniversary celebrations will overlap with an extended Global Ministry Conference that will highlight how God has been at work in and through our now 45 Global Ministry Partners in all corners of the globe. We will have a large number of those partners visiting with us to share more about how God is on the move. We will have guest preachers, special Discipleship Classes, and various other opportunities for you to connect with them.
Through the Decades Night of Worship
Saturday, November 11, 2023 | 6PM
God created us to worship him and one of the ways we worship him is with our singing. Through our singing we celebrate what God has done, we exalt Jesus Christ, and we remind ourselves of the steadfast hope that we have in the Gospel. Over these past 40 years, we have sung many different songs and at this special night of worship we will bring back songs from PCC’s past to enrich our worship by reminding him of what he’s done over these 40 years. Past worship leaders will also join us as special guests!
Celebration Dinner
Friday, November 17, 2023 | 6:30-9PM
Join us for an elegant and fun evening of dinner, dancing, and fellowship. Doors will open at 5:30PM for a charcuterie hour (think cocktail hour but without the cocktails) complete with photo booths and an interactive display of artifacts from PCC’s past. At 6:30PM, we will then enjoy a delicious catered italian meal as we remember and celebrate what God has done over the years through engaging testimonies and videos. We will conclude the evening with cake and an open dance floor! Attire is semi-formal. This event is for those aged 18 and up. Younger teens will be encouraged to volunteer as servers and to make themselves available for free/reduced cost babysitting. Cost is $20 / person.
Family-Friendly Flag Football Tournament
Saturday, November 18, 2023 | 2-4PM
Whether you are an athlete or a spectator, you’ll have a great time playing or cheering as teams battle one another for flag-football glory. There will be fun activities for those too little to play. Please bring a snack to share.
Thanksgiving Worship Service
Sunday, November 19, 2023 | 5:30PM
Come ready to give thanks. In addition to times of singing and prayer, this worship service includes two open-mic opportunities for anyone to briefly share something that they are thankful for. Sharing our thanks completes our joy in what God has done. What you share may be from any time in the past forty years or something fresh that God has done this past year or even during the recent Global Ministry Conference and 40th Anniversary celebrations. This worship service will help prepare your heart for Thanksgiving Day.
