Born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia.

I studied History and Education with a minor in Religious Studies at Old Dominion University. I am currently working towards my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.

My wife, Sarah, and I have been married since 2019. We have a one-year-old daughter, Annie.

I get the privilege to come alongside our church family and see the gospel transform our hearts. Whether it is coming alongside a college student at such a formative time in their life, caring for families as they navigate the complexities of discipleship, or helping equip our church family as we follow Christ together.

There are very few things in life that I love more than rain! 

Matt had the joy of growing up at PCC and came to faith through the youth ministry in high school. He studied History and Education at Old Dominion University and became invested in the ministry of Cru. After graduating, he worked on staff with Cru for 8 years in Norfolk, Newport News and Richmond, VA. While in Richmond, he met his wife, Sarah, and they got married in 2019. Their daughter Annie was born in June 2025 - who brings much joy to their lives. Matt is passionate seeing the gospel transform our lives and sees it as a great privilege to walk alongside others in the joys and hardships of life. He is currently working towards his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. In his free time, you can find him at a coffee shop, out for a run, working in his yard, watching the English Premier League, or taking a long walk with his wife and best friend, Sarah, their daughter, Annie, and their dog, Tilden.
